Welcome to my website.  
Have a glimpse into what I do.  My first novel 'A Postcard From Mallorca' began as an idea back in 2016 after one of many visits to the island.

Since then the plot has changed a little. I'm currently refining and editing; my aim is to publish in 2027-2028. 

Synopsis

Set in London and on the island of Mallorca, A Postcard From Mallorca is a contemporary women's fiction novel about family secrets, fractured relationships and the lives we imagine we ought to be living.
Through vibrant descriptions, the reader is completely transported to the island, feeling the warmth of the Mediterranean sun, tasting the sea salt in the air, and sensing the smell of lavender and pine in the landscape.
There are two MCs: Annabel, a former London PR consultant and mother of twin boys, has poured everything into transforming her parents’ beautiful Mallorcan villa into a luxury wellness and yoga retreat. But with her husband Julian struggling as his software business collapses, the cracks beneath their seemingly perfect life begin to splinter.
Then there’s my other MC Melissa, a young nail technician from Peckham, who arrives on the island like a duck out of water, determined to discover the identity of the dad she has never known. Her controlling boyfriend Jamie stalks her Instagram from back home, resents her new friendships and slowly eats away at her confidence. On Mallorca, Melissa begins to glimpse a different life, new possibilities - and wonders if she has the courage to carve a new path for herself. As old family secrets surface and carefully constructed lives begin to unravel, the glossy facades they've built start to crumble. In a world obsessed with filters and
perfect feeds, they discover that life cannot be perfectly curated. Ultimately, it is the unfolding family drama that forces them to drop the digital mask, teaching them that a life filled with real, unedited truths is infinitely more valuable than any picture-perfect post.

Besides writing, I've been painting for most of my life.  From oils on canvas during the lockdown periods to more recent urban sketching and watercolour house portraits, I'm always happy with a paintbrush in hand. More of my art can be seen on Instagram @artatnumber2 

I have also dabbled in clay and ceramics, making jewellery and gifts for friends and family. Whether they're actually much use is open to debate! I'll probably enroll on a proper clay course at some stage as I love the buzz you get when your hand-made pot emerges all beautifully glazed from the kiln!
